My father has been a plumber for over thirty years, and has been in business the majority of my life. I am sorry you are having such difficulties with your house sale. Having worked with my father for so long I have seen this same struggle countless times. As much as it hurts you to not get your house sold for the price you need; it must be accepted that the buyer has a right to know what they are purchasing and the problems the house has. I must remind you that this test was hired and purchased done for a reason. Most often because of structural movement of the house and by recommendation of a structural engineer or peiring company; both by which my father comes highly recommended. These recommendations are why you do not see any advertisements for my fathers company.
Alan was available immediately and fixed my plumbing concern without any hassle. He was also very polite and respectful.
We operate largely on referral form trusted customers whom are pleased with us. If my father as preformed a test on your house and it failed, it has one or more leaks; it is as simple as that. It matters not if the house has been occupied or what rate of use; once we plug the drainage system downstream and it does not hold water; it is obviously going somewhere and that somewhere is under your house. Additionally we do not price ISOLATION testing at a flat rate, so where you are so boldly claiming we asked $3000.00 is a blatant lie or misunderstanding on your part. Isolation testing is the process to discover how many and the pin point location of leaks under a slab floor proceeding a correctly preformed hydrostatic test or "pressure test". We price this work on a Time, Material, and Equipment basis so we often give a hypothetical estimate for budgetary reasons to our customers who are preparing to find and repair problems with their drainage system. often depending on the size of the house and the number and layout of fixtures this work is in the ball park of 2500 to 3500 for a PVC system and 4000 to 6000 for the older cast iron systems. This test only locates the problem, and upon completion an exact BID for repairs is possible.
I promise you if a company treated its customers the way you claim to have been treated by us, their would be no question of legal suit.
you state that "they used to be reputable but have drastically changed". I argue this is not likely as this is not a typical company where management changes or new employees affect the quality of the business. No, this is a self employed man and his family; and it has been since day 1.
Hello, I am William Robert King. I do not take being called a liar lightly and i do not appreciate having my fathers name dragged through the mud because you are upset about your own situation. We are not liars, and we do not sustain our existence on deceiving others.
My father has operated in this city as a plumber for thirty years, and has not once been in trouble by the city or state. And I must ask, if there were any truth to the criminal accusations you have written here "@The Baby Nerd", why are we not facing legal action for this?
Do not under any circumstances work with this company. They used to be reputable but have drastically changed. We were in contact with some buyers with our house when they did an inspection. They fabricated that our house had leaks that were affecting house and foundation. Asking for $3,000 to just do an isolation test to find "leak" and then probably thousands more to fix it. They took advantage of our situation. We are out of state trying to sell our house. We had a fantastic buyer however their report ended up scaring our buyers out of contract. This company actually lost us our buyers by making a fabricated and false claim. We got farmers insurance to go out and do an inspection/isolation test and they came back with the answer that there was absolutely no leaking and that you really can't decipher a leak anyhow when people aren't living there using the pipes. They literally made this up and tried to scam us. They lost us our buyers. We are absolutely irate about this. They put us in a position where we have now ended up with a negative outlook on our house to any future buyers because we have had a buyer pull out of contract. We are now having to settle renting it for a year and then hoping time has passed enough for a buyer to be interested again. They cost us a very expensive and difficult outcome from their own greed. Also because we lost our buyers they not only put us in a situation of not selling but they certainly messed themselves out of making any money anyhow. Please head my warning. They flat out lied!!!
